@Brian_R170
I would never joke about something so serious. Ha jk
Actually what I was trying to do is make sense of this “level” conversation to figure out where these “level” ratings are coming from…that was all I could find during an admittedly cursory search
I took picture of it but do not think I can load it on site. It is titled Clarifying our Superhost Relief Fund Eligibility and was updated April 28 I believe. You can look it up.
@540LukeDog If possible, do you have the time, would you mind providing the exact language where it indicates that you have to have hosted/super hosted for four years? Grazie!

On this forum I am a level 100.
Is that the number of years you been hosting then?
JF
found what @540LukeDog is referencing-
From Airbnb:
“Clarifying our Superhost Relief Fund eligibility
Another topic that’s come up a lot in our global listening sessions is the Superhost Relief Fund, which was created to help some of our most experienced hosts who are struggling financially.
- To start, we’re inviting the longest-standing members of our community—which typically means they’ve had Superhost status for four or more years. We’re also comparing these hosts’ earnings from this year and last year to make sure we’re inviting hosts who’ve been most impacted by the current crisis.
- Hosts who are eligible will be invited by Airbnb—we’ve already started sending out invitations, and we’ll keep doing so every week through mid-May.
- If you’ve been invited to apply, you’ll get an email with a link to the application. We’ve got a specialized team in place to review applications as they come in. If you’ve applied, you should get a response within two weeks.
We hope these updates answer some of the questions you have around hosting now and in the future. Yes, there’s a lot of uncertainty out there, but together we can help rebuild confidence in travel. As always, thank you for being part of our community.”
I would like to point out for any hosts who might be disheartened by this that someone on this forum says she/he received an invitation and she/he has been hosting only since 2017. And even starting in November at that…
I thought this is a support group. As I said it does not mean anything. Just means I have been for period of time. That is it!!!No perks!!! GEEE WHIZZ
Good News!!! Glad to hear!!!
Yes, it’s where they start, and it makes sense. However, the qualification criteria is SH for over one year. To suggest it’s only those four year plus who’ll get funds is completely inaccurate.
JF
No, it’s not a support group. As it says at the top “This forum is dedicated to connecting hosts with other hosts.” Sometimes you will be connected to folks who challenge and disagree.
Good Bye support Group. I realized that this is not one. Done.
Any hosts who are disheartened should remember this is still Airbnb. In the information about this fund it says, repeatedly, that grants are made “at their sole discretion.” That’s just like giving refunds to guests under an extenuating circumstances policy that they made up as the pandemic unfolded.
If you don’t expect anything you won’t be disappointed.
@KKC
Was simply trying to say that people who have not been super/hosting as long as four years can still hold out some hope…
I’m not saying people should lose hope. But folks keep going on and on with speculation about what the criteria are and posting incorrect or confusing information. Once people understand it is random and arbitrary maybe they will not be so frustrated.
All I asked is what communication you received that told you that you were at “Level 2”?
…or they will be even moreso.
@KKC
I agree the selection process does appear to be somewhat random once one has met all of the initial qualifying criteria, as it sounds like many if not most of us have
Am I the only one who kinda feels bad for @540LukeDog? If it was me who caused it, I certainly didn’t meant to hurt your feelings…!
I don’t know why you insist that this is true when many experienced hosts here have informed you that it is not. The “levels” you are referring to are levels on the CC indicating how much you post there and how many thumbs ups you get- they have absolutely nothing to do with one’s level of experise, your hosting account, Superhost or anything else. There are plenty of “level 10” hosts on the CC who don’t even have Superhost status.
You complain that you weren’t “supported” here, but refused to listen to anything anyone else offered.
Likewise. I was just trying to have him clarify “Level 2 Superhost”, because I had never heard of that and Ive been a host for 8 years.
It appears that any “levels” only relate to the Airbnb forums.
