FUND for Superhosts

@LCurtis333, I wouldn’t put any faith into what the CS rep said. As @JJD posted, Airbnb explicitly said you are eligible. Given that only 3 (I think) hosts on this forum have so far been invited, there is a lot of mystery how they are selecting hosts.

BTW, does anybody remember answering an Airbnb survey or two last year? I remember receiving e-mails from Airbnb asking me to respond to a host survey twice last year and I did. One of the questions asked what percentage of your income comes from Airbnb. I wonder if that response has an impact.

I received £49.00 for bookings worth Just under £400.00 last month. I did not have to apply for it.

I received a payout for March

Careful when you reply by email, your name and tel no were attached.

I deleted them as not a good idea on public forum.

Thank you JJD and all. So, we are eligible but haven’t received an invite. Just contacted Airbnb via message and got a robot response saying “if your eligible you’ll be contacted”. Really starting to hate Airbnb.

Thanks John. Good advice.

@Brian_R170
I can speak only for myself, but I always ignore those kinds of surveys so I personally did not respond

Airbnb has lied to us. I am a Level 2 Superhost. I have lost $7,000.00 in cancellations. Because I have a moderate cancellation policy, I will receive $70.00 for only one cancellation that was made the day prior. All other cancellations were cancelled two weeks or more before arrival so nothing.
Also, now the stipulation for a grant is that one has to have been a superhost for 4 years. I have been for three years since I started my business. I thought originally we were told one year. I depend on this income, I do not know how I am going to make it. Mr. Chezsky is a 38 year old billionaire for peaks sake.

@540LukeDog
Hello, Have you read or heard from Airbnb that the requirement is now four years minimum to get an invitation? Or is that what you are deducing/inferring from all the comments here…?

Have they? When?

Wow, you must be a SuperDooperHost then

No it isn’t. It is:

To qualify, hosts who offer a place to stay must:

  • Only share their primary or secondary residence—no more than 2 active listings
  • Show a reliance on Airbnb as a vital source of income
  • Have a verified identity
  • Have been a Superhost for 1+ years
  • Have lost a significant percentage of their earnings due to COVID-19

As per:

It’s not helpful when you post inaccurate information, especially relating to something as important as this.

What is a “Level 2 Superhost”? I didn’t know there were levels.

Even with a “strict” cancellation policy (which I have), the guests can cancel without penalty if their cancellation is related to Covid-19. Well, that covers a lot of ground, making it quite easy to cancel a reservation in my opinion.

There aren’t.

I read it. It was announced on April 24 by Mr. CEO,

It was my original understanding that any cancellation related to coronavirus would be compensated some but now they only will compensate according to cancellation policy which is ridiculous. When a superhost, there are levels. I have been for three years so was bumped up to Level 2 recently. I don’t think it means anything or any extra perks but was hoping I would be eligible for grant though.

I am not posting anything inaccurate. Only stating that will not receive any assistance no matter what. And Level 2 Superhost is no big deal, it only indicate superhost for more than certain amount of time but still not relief. Does not matter. Not bragging.

My understanding after doing some brief research regarding this “level” discussion: This is not something that Airbnb awards or labels somebody. My understanding is this is just a system of levels that you can attain via participation in an Airbnb community forum. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong.

@540LukeDog If possible, do you have the time, would you mind providing the exact language where it indicates that you have to have hosted/super hosted for four years? Grazie!

A lot of us watched the Host Updates and nobody heard Chesky say 4 years. As I recall, it is just 4 times (i.e. 4 quarters, which is a total of one year), and that agrees with the website info. Please link the video and the time in the video where this is stated.

Also, We’ve got a lot of superhosts here and nobody has ever mentioned “Level 2”, unless you mean Airbnb Plus, but that is not a “level of superhost” and, of course, there is a fee.

Check it out- also the “levels” go all the way up to at least ten lol

That is level in the Airbnb community forums. Nothing to do with superhost. Are you making a joke? :wink:

And it looks like you don’t need to be a SuperHost to ascend the levels …
Again, someone can correct me if I am incorrect
