Possibly distressing and/or embarrassing guest feedback

As @Debthecat says, there are medications that can affect you with, erm, embarassing leaks - and it really can be unpleasant and embarassing. People affected will usually wear “incontinence products”, but they’re not infallible. Obviously, the correct thing to do is to let the host know, deal with it yourself if possible and offer to buy a new sheet. I think most hosts would be satisfied with this.

And thanks to @GutHend for yet again increasing my vocabulary!

Am I the only one to think that a hotel will not throw away sheets wit a skid mark but first try and wash them? I’m having a small moment of self-doubt. Hopefully it will quickly pass.

@Malagachica Your welcome! So which new words did you learn today? :smiley:

I’d not mention it, just wash the sheets and move on. I’m not put to any extra work. I have been seriously incommoded by one guest throwing out an oven mit and not mentioning it. It meant I had to get new ones, and I didn’t have time before new guest’s arrived, ditto the guest’s who took part of the coffee maker.

Right. Guests should not throw out soiled sheets without mentioning it first to the host. You all are making me so happy I bought a mattress encasement!

In my experience washing a bit of poo out of sheets is very easy. A recent guest managed to get poo on sheets, duvet and duvet cover. They did mention it, I provided clean bedding and reassurance that it wasn’t an issue, and I hoped they were feeling better, guess what, I was marked down for some dust in the corner behind the door, and a door that didn’t close easily.

OMG, that is :poop::poop::poop: !

Those guests would qualify for one of my follow-up emails reminding them that they crapped all over my bed linen and yet they are complaining about dust behind a door!

Wow I would do the same as SandyToes and bring up the excrement on all linens vs a bit of dust…

Um, feces and chocolate smell pretty different from one another. In any case both stain.

hahahaha! You are such a screwball.

It likely did happen by accident, and depending on the size of it, it’s just as possible the guest didn’t know. Why embarrass someone by stating this in a public review?

Louise, you certainly do seem to have some mean guests!

It’s true what they say Louise, no good deed gets unpunished :-):poop::cloud_with_lightning_and_rain::cloud_with_lightning::tornado::cloud_with_snow::dash::poop::poop::poop:
