I’m location scouting for a few scenes of a short gay film with some erotic content we’ll be shooting this Saturday and Sunday. It’s a very small production, three actors and a two-person crew. We’d take great care of the space and leave it exactly as we found it. If this a possibility, I’d love to talk more, and if not thanks for your time!
Cheers,
I am curious how other hosts would respond… I have already responded
Yeah yeah yeah - how do I know what they have touched with what and where?
Unlikely to be JUST the bedroom!
Are the paying proper commercial rates or just being cheap?
Insurance - this is different to a straight ( ) stay
I had a prostitute who wanted to rent my house. Cleaning issues were one thing, neighbours another, but my main concern was one of her clients returning and looking for her when they saw lights on…not a question I wanted for my basic guests and there is a motel in town that offers accommodation to these workers.
Business is business. Might even get some extra guest fees, etc. While I see the potential cleaning problem that @Debthecat mentioned, the same risk exists from any couple (gay or straight) that you host. I don’t know much about your listing, but if you have neighbors, I suppose asking them to keep all “erotic content” indoors is a very reasonable request.
Hey, maybe you can ask for a final production copy signed by the actors and director. Could be worth a fortune some day. OK, probably not.
Lol, I asked for a copy of the final version
The person who booked has great reviews, a few mention there was filming done and everyone said they left the place perfect. I sent a special offer that made it worth the extra cleaning, which I expect there will be none. It pays as well as 3 days, and my place is expensive to start.
I don’t think she was gay bashing, I saw it as humor I give her the benifit of the doubt on that.
Me2, I asked for and got a great rate. I am expecting this to go off without a hitch. I am looking forward to getting my copy of the final video, for uhm investment purposes… lol
Probably true… but people use jokes to hide prejudice and tell you you’re wrong when you call them out on it. In the context of everything else she said, it wasn’t meant to be funny.
I’m surprised they agreed! But they are making it to be watched so I guess they don’t mind!
Pr0n aside, I and other hosts in my own city have received requests to film. A commercial rental might be $1000 or more per day, so filmmakers seem to be taking advantage of hosts who are ignorant of what they’re giving away for almost nothing.
