Best vacuum , cordless,lightweight

I have a Dyson V7 Animal HEPA. Slightly obsessed with it.

I can do the whole house on one charge if I’m quick and use the lower power setting. Keep in mind it’s a small house with only hardwood and tile. No carpet at all.

Life changing!! I used to hate vacuuming. Having something that is lighter and cord free makes all the difference.

Being able to use it as a hand vac is convenient too.

I’ve heard good things about the Shark and think I will also replace my Dyson with one. As for “being better” I think many people compare their brand new vac to what the old vac was doing when it was replaced. Not a fair fight. Canisters get dirty, beater brushes get worn, etc.

I also have the cordless Dyson, it’s the second one I’ve owned. I love them for what I use them for and have often found the canister filling quickly on it even though I already vacuumed with the “big” vac. But I don’t use it much on carpet or rugs, I use it on tile and with attachments.

As discussed on another thread I now have a Eufy robo vac and (so far) am very happy with it. I especially like that it goes under most of my furniture and scoops up those dust bunnies that I’d only get to every few weeks. It’s fantastic for daily maintenance.

I have a Shark robot (is it called the Ion or something?) that I use in my own home. It scoots quite happily from tiles to wood to carpet to rug. It’s quite entertaining too as the cat is very wary of it and the antics of the two of them are pretty amusing.

Anyway, at the moment, Bed Bath and Beyond have got a deal when you can get the robot AND a hand held together for a good price, If you have a BB&B money-off coupon (as most people do) it’s a very good deal.

I had an old Roomba Red I bought at a yard sale when I started B&B a year ago. Unfortunately last September one of the two wheel motors quit working. Roomba tech support said that they no longer had parts for that old model. The Roomba, even without phone control, wifi, or a charger base to return to, was a great labor saver for me, since I have wood floors with a small area rug in each room, and rooms are not cluttered.

So I’ve been using a stick vacuum since then, although I lug my venerable yard sale Kirby ($35 40 years ago, not $1,500 from a Kirby door to door guy) upstairs every couple of months to deep vacuum the area rugs. After my first 3-room turnaround morning last week, I saw an Amazon ad for this robo vac that has fairly good reviews and is priced under $200. It will arrive on Thursday, and if it works as good or better than the old Roomba, I’ll review it on this forum.

I love robot vacuums, although the Roomba bumping into doors upset a few guests who didn’t know about it. Now I have a warning sign posted in the kitchen.

Thanks for your reply. Anyways, I also found some other vacuum cleaner from the Internet how they are? Can I try for them?

How reliable is this one and the cost as well?

Its fineI have had mine for a couple of years now no problem. The only issue is you have to cut the hair out that get stuck in the beater bar but that’s no big deal

I’ve only had it for about 6 months and it works well. Great for picking up hair especially. Ive had a corded Dyson for years and it’s excellent. The cordless stick ones just run out of battery quite quickly.

Do you think it’s good? Though the battery draining quickly as you said.

Let me check I will give a try for it.

Last week I bought a Strata Home Cordless Stick Vacuum. I don’t expect it to be able to do the whole house. I just bought it for the things that my Dyson Ball Animal 2 is terrible at (anything that is not wall-to-wall carpet or wall-to-wall hard floor). The Strata arrived yesterday evening and I charged it overnight, will give it a try this evening.

It cost less than half of a Dyson V7 Animal, so it will be a good deal if if works well. We’ll see.

Edit: I tested the Strata Home and it’s pretty much garbage. The suction/airflow is so weak that it is not effective. Don’t bother.

I have a handheld, cordless, battery operated Dyson. I love it! I could marry it, if I could

Yes I like it. It does require a lot of maintenance. It needs thorough cleaning though. Use a blower to clean it out.

Fantastic! Glad to know about it.

I have just tried Bissell Bolt Pet hair vacuum to clean pet hair which needs very low maintenance and easy to use.

Diek was great except both of ours broke. I withdraw my recommendation for that brand. Plus I think they are out of business. Regards. Curt

The Deik gets pet hair quite well. Unfortunately two of ours have broken and they have no customer service or warranty. So consider your $100 will stop working in about a year or less. But it was the best vacuum ever. ( except thick carpet). Regards, Cury
