The Pacific Crest Trail , officially designated as the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail (PCT) is a long-distance hiking and equestrian trail closely aligned with the highest portion of the Cascade and Sierra Nevada mountain ranges, which lie 100 to 150 miles (160 to 240 km) east of the U.S. Pacific coast. The trail’s southern terminus is on the U.S. border with Mexico, just south of Campo, California, and its northern terminus on the Canada–US border on the edge of Manning Park in British Columbia; its corridor through the U.S. is in the states of California, Oregon, and Washington.
The Pacific Crest Trail is 2,653 mi (4,270 km) long and ranges in elevation from just above sea level at the Oregon–Washington border to 13,153 feet (4,009 m) at Forester Pass in the Sierra Nevada.
I am, in my side job (lo)l a Ballroom dancer and instructor. When my students and friends go to compete in the largest competition in the world, the Blackpool Dance Festival in Blackpool
Now that is fascinating! Does the competition take place at the Tower Ballroom? I am irrationally fond of Blackpool.

Does anyone here remember that fabulous scene from Coronation Street many years ago when Hayley (who was dying) and Roy danced at the deserted Tower Ballroom? Fantastic scene.
I thought I’d come back to update
I had to retire two of the towels due to
Not being able to get the mystery pink stuff out after several rounds of bleach.
The cost of doing business
No big deal Guests are not welcome back.
I rarely use bleach, we don’t even have any in the house. I find it particularly not helpful, especially with makeup.
About 99% of stains come out with Biokleen Bac-Out and Oxyclean Spray. For the other 1%, I use Dawn (makeup and grease that is stubborn), Dreft (poopy stains that are stubborn) and De Solv It Stain Remover (not the cleaner) for stubborn colorful stains like your pink ones and inky or dye stains - and your pink is probably a 24-hour lip stick or something, basically a dye.
If you still have the towels, you can get the de solv it at most supermarkets. It’s worth a try! It works even after something has been through the dryer. Besides, you will surely get those same pink stains again and you can’t retire towels everytime, it’ll get too expensive.
The best makeup remover I have ever used is made by Avon. It’s a moisturizing lotion that easily removes waterproof mascara and does not irritate or sting my eyes. For awhile I kept a bottle in the Airbnb, but no one was using it, so I took it for my own use. Guess I should put one in there again with a note. I even have special dark, stain-resistant salon towels for removing makeup, but the white towels and washcloths still end up with a bunch of dark spots after every 4th or 5th guest stay.
Oh, I just had a Spanish family with their little dog that shat somewhere, someone stepped in it and smeared it all over the place. By the time they left if was dry and hard
Actually I decided to educate them privately about not abusing white towels. I truly believe that some people just don’t know any better and as we all know cleanliness is so subjective
They were a very nice quiet couple traveling around California trying to make a living as political poll people. I didn’t want to make it to hard on them to find future accommodations.
I know its important for hosts to review honestly but I gave them a pass and told them so.
