What do you tell someone with high maintenance reviews

Yep! Kidde brand. Replaced the same one twice. Crossing fingers.

I’ve been here and lurking since 2019:) Allowing this forum to educate myself.

I would decline this booking. If I understood correctly?? This guest removed the batteries from other fire detectors because they discovered one of the batteries was not working in one of the fire detectors? Did I misunderstand something? If this is what they indeed did do you have proof of this? Its a malicious action. I would not host this guest…. Nope not ever.

We all know as hosts that batteries run out, a sink leaks and a stray hair slips by us. We do our best to remedy the situation ASAP. However, for a guest to further compound a situation rather than seek to solve it tells me a lot about who they are. I don’t want you in my property.

I stayed in a solid 4 star place awhile back, beeping was driving me crazy 2 of them were going off with the feed me battery beep. I disconnected them and left them on the dresser for the host to deal with.

Maybe I will travel with a portable smoke/co2 detector in the future, who knows if the prior guests removed a battery or they just do not work…

Hmmmm
