Can I make a suggestion for hosts? As a frequent guest with my family of 4, it’s really inconvenient if there are not enough glasses and dishes to get us through a full day. Minimal glassware and dishes are fine for a small place with no dishwasher, but if there is a dishwasher, I don’t want to have to run it with only 4 plates, 4 forks, and 4 glasses in it.

My dog so does that. She needs to make a nest then lays her head on a ‘pillow’. I try to keep her out of the living room when I am not there or it’s a mess lol.
I have an addition divided off by a sliding door and have a wire shelving unit with a microwave, Keurig coffee, boiler pot, mini refrigerator and basic dishes. I call it a “snack center.” I do the dishes for the guests daily.
And that keeps them out of my kitchen and the rest of the house for that matter. They have their own entrance too.
