That Second B in AirBNB

I only had country ham for the first time when I moved to NC from VA. It is very salty, but I have no recollection of this flavor at all when I was in Spain for 3 months. I never even had “country ham” anywhere else in the U.S. besides the South. I am not a big ham eater though…but I would not compare “jamon” to southern U.S. “country ham.” - Spanish ham is great!

They are quite different. The overlap is that they are both cured with salt. Country ham has to be desalinated before eating. I can’t imagine serving either of these items to AirBNB guests.

I would gladly serve Jamon to our guests! Usually, their first question is where to get the ‘good stuff’, ie where do locals go for jamon, and not the bad tourist shops.
