Reviews for guests with out of touch expectations

And that’s probably because you don’t take blunt answers as a personal attack. There’s a big difference between being critical of someone’s actions and being critical of them as a person. Those who feel attacked should try to understand that everyone has different personalities and writing styles, but that whether a response is blunt or oh so tactful, the intent is almost always to be helpful, either to offer suggestions to a host who is having an issue or wants input on how to get more bookings or better guests, etc.
And sometimes it’s to let hosts know that the way they are doing things, like failing to leave reviews, or rushing to offer guests refunds for petty complaints, in fear of a bad review, makes things worse for other hosts.
