Oh dear sadly you can’t legislate for stupid @Notahost
Registered Nurse Anne here— masks have been a first line of defense from respiratory infections for medical practitioners for over 100 years.
Surgeons have been scrubbing in for surgeries since the 1870s. Medical practitioners were washing hands well before it became standard evidence based practice in the 1980s.
Regardless of your opinion about Covid, with masking, distancing, & diligent hand washing, 2020/2021 cases of the common cold and flu were well below usual infection rates.
WTF? Surgeons? You’re a nurse? Seriously? I guess you think washing your hands will stop the transmission of tuberculosis too? I doubt you’re a nurse, no nurse would say something that ridiculous.
The bottom line is all the extra airbnb cleaning protocols are nothing but a dog and pony show to present a public image of ‘look what we are doing’ as meaningless as spraying down shopping carts with a disinfectant or wiping your groceries with Clorox wipes, a total waste of time, the CDC has even said so.
Not a single scientific case study exists showing a covid transmission from a surface. Not one.
The case numbers have plummeted, the pandemic is coming to an end because of the vaccines not because the whole world suddenly got better at wiping doorknobs. Get vaccinated and move on with your life.
Isn’t everyone tired of the trolls taking over this post and misdirecting it? Time to lock it?
Agreed -yawn so tired.
