We live half of the year in our condo and are now offering it up to AirBnB guests during the rest of the year. We want to offer Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Access to our guests, but do not want to use our account. We have a separate wifi account for our guests to use.
Would it make sense to buy a seperate ROKU connected to the Guest Wifi? That way they would be loggin into their accounts and not ours.
And if they don’t have accounts? Or don’t remember a 25 character random string of numbers and lets? They’re screwed.
I would set up Guest accounts with Guest logins.
Personally, I wouldn’t bother.

I have Netflix that allows up to 4 simultaneous users. I created a “Guest” user on my Netflix account and leave it logged in on the Roku TV in my listing. I do the same for Hulu. If a guest has their own account, they can log out of my account and then log in to their own, but they won’t be able to log back in to mine, so I have to check it after each guest departs.
I do not leave my Amazon Prime logged in, though, since Amazon allows purchases. As I recall, you can add a PIN or something, but I didn’t want to inconvenience myself, so I just don’t provide it for guests. They are free to log in to their own Prime account if they have one.
I have those accounts but it is stated in the listing that those options are available only if the guest has an account. I do not offer my own. Predictably enough, someone logged in and never logged out, so … 🤷
I do the same as @Brian_R170
The upside to Netflix is many shows are in multiple languages for both subtitles & audio. My French speaking Canadian guests tend to use that feature.
The downside is that anyone can select the profile that isn’t their’s and see the viewing history. Meaning if you use the account guests can snoop to see what you watch.
We also have set up a “Guest” account for Netflix and also let people watch Hulu Plus and Amazon Prime. Yes, with Amazon, you can create a PIN so people can’t buy things.
It is one of our house rules that people NOT log into their own Netflix account because I don’t want the bother of checking it after every guest. They can use my account and deal with the fact I will see what shows they are interested in or choose another app on the ROKU. They can see what I watch too. Don’t care.
It’s also a rule that people are not allowed to add new apps to the ROKU. Have had this rule for a year and a half and there has been no negative blow back. I was just going to test out the new rule to see how people responded, and so far so good, which I was a bit surprised by, given how many guests used to add apps.
