I need to vent!! I had a guest this week that had gotten lost because she didn’t put the right address in her Navigation, She called me at 9:00 pm to ask for my address again, I stayed on the phone with her till i recognized where she was and greeted her when she arrived. This guest then gave me 3 stars on my location! REALLY!! It makes me so mad… Can’t we get rid of this star? Thanks for letting me vent. Does anyone else have this problem?
I am a newish host in a small county town in Australia, I get 5 stars on almost everything except location and it is driving me nuts!
The 2 sites I have are entire homes, the areas are quiet, safe, in lovely streets … yet 3 stars…, suggestions on how to fix this?
They chose my houses, but they don’t like it… sigh!
i’ve sent the following email to airbnb admin. i’m hoping that others on the forum who agree, will do the same.
i think the location rating is completely counter productive. one’s location is what it is. people see this rating and think it refers to “actual location”. i suspect you are trying to keep hosts honest about their neighborhoods on their listing descriptions but i believe many guests will rate down listings that are simply not what they had hoped for. for instance, i’m near the beach …

2 of my recent reviews have left 3 or 4 stars for location. Every other review is 5 stars in every category. Both said it would be nice if my house were closer to the city. Glad to have found this forum as we are new to AirBnB.
Our place is getting quite a lot of bookings and we are doing our utmost to keep
our guests happy! Investing time, energy, money and enthusiasm! BUT the one thing
we see that is working out negatively for us is the location even though it is in a country
