I could really use some help. I just downloaded the latest version of the app and need some help with the calendar on the app. I use the app exclusively, on an iPhone, and with the latest version I cannot figure out how to edit individual dates. Used to be able to highlight them then click “edit” in the lower right corner to block or change pricing. Now, with the update that just came out, there is no longer an option to edit individual dates. What am I doing wrong?!?! Where did they hide the edit feature? I do a lot of direct bookings and this is a nightmare.
Many many complaints about this!
I have ny listing now open as a website and I can do it from there - but hate the tiny tiny text.
So we cannot block dates anymore? Or raise rates on special event weekends? I was able to this morning and boom, after the update, it’s gone! This will effectively shut me down after 4-1/2 years as a 5* superhost.
I don’t use the app at all, but there are at least a half-dozen threads in the last few days over on the Airbnb CC about this. Looks like the calendar is unworkable on the app for everyone. What Airbnb is the very best at is glitches. It seems to be their forte. Their entire tech dept. needs to be fired.
It still works on the website- it is the mobile app with the issues
I would recommend using your laptop / PC to do all that. I find it much easier to setup those features, especially when I am using Rules (professional hosting tools).
Excuse me, wtf. I have had zero issues with the app and being a host For 4-1/2 years with over 300 stays. I don’t need to track, compare or whatever you think makes you a better hostess. Until this inability to block or edit individual days, it has not been a problem. You do you @BlackFemale
That would be great if I had one. Lol. I use my smart phone for everything.
Just a thought. One can get a very good used or “off-lease” laptop for about $100-150. Something like a Thinkpad X220 or X230 with windows 10 and ssd drive. They are workhorses. fyi - I spent 25 years in IT.
Way to go with over 300 stays - impressive. There are many sites that don’t work particularly well with “only a phone”. App development is vastly more complex and costly to “get right” than a decent website.
On my android app I can still edit dates. I haven’t updated recently.
Maybe you have to unlist until you figure it out?
Thanks. That’s Air and direct bookings. I’m a shared home host so it’s really as much as I can handle at my age and with 4 senior dogs living here. But we have fun with the guests and they enjoy the old pugs. My son is pushing me to get a laptop but honestly with the smart phones now I just don’t need one. I’ve paid all my bills online for about 8 years now and I’m retired so I don’t need one more thing to worry about. I just turned off IB for now. Hopefully, they’ll figure this out.
Thanks, KKC. I just turned off IB. Our season is winding down here so hopefully I’ll be okay till the next update (downgrade) is available.
I feel your pain. Even before this issue, I found it frustrating that the pricing on the app was more challenging than on .com. Until fixed, I suggest you use a browser on your Phone. It’s not ideal, but it is a workaround.
two words for that suggestion: “OK Boomer”
I’m the opposite. I prefer the website and avoid the app unless necessary. And by necessary, I mean that there is always something you can do on one that you can’t do on the other. It’s always been like this. To get full functionality, I’ve always had to use both.
Until they don’t again.
Thanks. I had tried that and had no luck. Until I switched to private mode. Still, it will only let me edit one day at a time rather than a group of days. It will work for now. Thanks so much for everyone’s help. I’m just glad we’re coming into off season.
Have you tried Rules? That can be an easier way of selecting one or more days and applying a different rate (+ / - %, etc) or other desired aspects - rather than literally manually doing “one day at a time” modifications.
I don’t think that’s practical for me. Most of my Air bookings are 24-48 hours out, sometimes a week or two. And I have a lot of direct books. When I get a direct inquiry, I just pop the calendar open and block the days the guest wants in order to prevent an IB from coming in. With IB off, I don’t have to stress over it. As it’s coming to the end of season and schools have started back, I’m really winding down. Hopefully they’ll fix it over the fall/winter. I’m probably only going to stay on the Air platform another year as I’ve built up a large enough private platform.
It is possible to adjust multiple dates, at least, in chrome. It’s a little tricky but if you select a date on the calendar then click edit, on the next screen it will allow you to select multiple days on that calendar.

honestly with the smart phones now I just don’t need
On your phone you can use Chrome to access full Airbnb.com website. You can use Safari too but Airbnb May display Oddly.
Problem solved. I stole my son’s Samsung tablet and like @KKC said, it’s there on Android devices. Thanks all!
