Yes, that was funny to me, too. Like I’m doing this as a hobby, or something.
But this is why I would like to see them prompted to include the information because they are not providing it. It doesn’t have to be a required field, it could just be a prompt so they think of the types of information to include with their booking request. Right now they aren’t prompted to tell the host anything other than a reason to stay which could be one word.
And other than the special needs (which I just threw in there at the end) this is all very relevant information that I try to get from my guests before they arrive. It is as useful to the guest as the host, since it would avoid a half dozen follow up emails later.
This looks interesting!! I can only join if they offer something similar to the host guarantee or host insurance. I tried to click on the insurance link but it’s dead. Know anything about it?
@Artemis I like this idea but only if we could customize it. I don’t actually care how they are getting here but I do like to have an ETA; I have often had to ask numerous times. Special needs would be VERY helpful. Checking off that they DON’T have a pet would be great, etc.
Site doesn’t even work for me. The home page loads super slow.
It appears that, much like AirBNB, only really really attractive people can belong based on the photos from the site. No one is sweaty from pulling their bags from the subway, or looks irritated that their plane was late, or has even an extra ounce of fat. And they are all very young. The photos don’t actually look that inclusive!
DogVacay has drop down menus (breed, age, size, gender, neutered, vaccines) and most people (65% of my clients) don’t fill it out before sending an inquiry.
You don’t have to convince me, you have to convince Airbnb management. I was just offering a perspective based on talking with management at DogVacay. There are big differences in the service offered.
They are probably a bunch of ageists.
True … I’m not joining unless their “inclusivity” includes people with grey/white hair!
Heads up there are two companies here http://hughleysmithlaw.com/noirbnb-versus-noirebnb-why-protecting-your-trademark-is-crucial-to-your-business/
Innclusive and noir doing some “Innfighting”
That’s explained in the article I linked, above. The noir name was already held by someone else and they were negotiating with that other company but the negotiations fell apart. I like your clever use of the extra N!
Re ratings, after my first few reviews, I’d like to see objective criteria for docking points , from what I’ve seen of people bending over backward to make people happy, then being threatened with negative reviews, some fear this so much, they give guests refunds which aren’t deserved.
That’s why Hostaway exists
Google calendar works for me, thanks.
Sending them such a form is an option. Though even sending it after booking would be helpful. Some good ideas in there - making notes…
Sarah, how great!!!
Hi CatskillsGrrl, google calendar will absolutely be supported by Innclusive.
Wonderful!! Thank you for the follow-up.
Does this Innclusive site have a private room option?
Their format is very much like Air’s. Forum member, GenaG, is on their staff so you could either go to their site (where they actually have a chat option – and someone answers!) or send her a PM from here. They have been very responsive with me and a couple of other forum members. I hope they can make a go of it!
