HELP! Airbnb had just decided to close down my "hosting" portion of my account not the travelling while my account was currently being suspended for 30 days from a recent 1 star review

Could I suggest that you may make a better case if you increased the readability by breaking your points up by using a paragraph here and there.

Complete blocks of text are difficult to read for many, and the important points may be missed due to the recipient not actually seeing them, within all the extraneous text.

This man is correct. Better to be succinct.

Heres a HACK: It’s very difficult to type in the App with proper spacing and punctuation. I often will type my question or response either in MS Word or in an email note. I do my editing in that tool. When it has the correct spacing, spelling, grammar and tone then I cut and paste the verbiage into the Messaging app.

Why do I get the feeling that you are speaking “Greek” to the OP?

Thankyou for mentioning that tip. I can see how that would greatly benefit my defense and not have important points left out. Im glad you had brought that to my attention now.
If it’s not to late I’ll start using that format for now on. I wish I read your message sooner or I would have done it like that in the latest response I just sent back.
Here is the latest response from airbnb left a few hours ago and with my overran response with minimal paragraphs.
I’m still worried and at a state of confusion on my case and where its going but there had been actions taken that looks good for me so far.
Would you mind giving me your personal interpretation of where this may lead based on these screen shots of my recent response with airbnb. Being the one going through this its hard to think straight. Anxiety is getting the best of me.

Here is the latest response from a few hours ago. In your opinion what do you person think so far…

Here is the latest response from airbnb a few hours ago…i tried to keep the emotional part of me at ease when I responded. I dont know if I did a good job at that or not.

Someone also pointed out to break my main points up in small paragraphs so no important information is skipped over which I’ll keep in mind for next time if needed.
I’ll send you the screen shots of the conversation. You had mentioned that things were your looking good so far.
If you dont mind, could you tell me your personal assumption if my case is steal heading in a good direction ot not…its difficult to think straight from being a little anxious about everything.

@Achilles666 Regardess of you breaking what you write into paragraphs, you are being far too wordy for Airbnb CS.
This is how you have to address CS- in bullet point form, as briefly as possible.

This happened.
Then this happened.
I contacted CS and was told XX.
I replied that…
I am asking for XX.

You need to state things as briefly and simply as possible. It isn’t short story writing. Half their CS reps can’t even read or write English fluently. Try to make it easy for them.

Which makes them useless. Overseas support is NEVER a saving.

Hey, you’re preaching to the choir. Now if you could only make Airbnb understand that.

Very good points. Maybe that’s why I’m having a hard time getting them to understand. Ill keep it short and simple like you have in your example. I have noticed slot of them are rough on their English

Do you know much about the site booking.com. is that like airbnb where you can list out a room in your home for guest? Ot seems like its mostly motels

There are plenty of places you can list, including some that specialise in various niches. I’m surprised that you’re spending so much time concentrating on Airbnb rather than using other services or marketing your rental yourself.

In Australia, Booking.con is only for entire properties or hotel / motel types.

Airbnb is the most popular by far with the lowest service fee. Its definitely worth fighting for.

I looked into booking.com but it seems like it’s most hotels vs my type of listing which is renting out spare rooms in the house I live. Also VrBO seems like they list only the entire home instead of what im doing.

Am I correct on those assumptions?

Any experience or knowledge on those platforms? What sites woukd you recommend thats similar to airbnb for a listong like mine.

that’s what i was wondering. I created a listing, but it seemed like there only one other listing on there thats like mine where the host lives there and uses the spare rooms for bookings…

am I using the wrong platform?

Do you know of any other platforns out there thays worth trying thats similar to doing a listing like mine…which is not booking out the entire home just the spare rooms?

I only use Airbnb and my own marketing so I don’t know about other platforms. Several members here do though.
