I refuse to put any signs or anything resembling advertisement in my home. I, like others, think it’s tacky. Guests are here to relax, not feel pressured to spend more money. My son lives nearby on the island and does a lot of creative woodworking - at my house - his shop and tools are here. In the summer, guests inevitably will see him setup in his shop or in the yard and will talk to him about his work. If they ask to buy something he’s making, and he can have it finished before their stay ends, he will absolutely let them buy the items. Great memories for them for their trip and many of them have become regular, direct book guests.
