FYI, today in Ireland:
I put her stuff in storage in the hotel, she picked it up. Air let me cancel her without penalty, but I didn’t get any new guest for those days, so I lost money. My instant book has been automatically turned off for a while because I cancelled a guest. I didn’t leave a review as I was scared she’d get in there in the last nano second and retaliate. I’d had enough stress, self preservation had to come first.
If its cancelling without penalty, why did they take away instant book? Seems strange.
Hindsight is 20/20 but would you do anything different next time?
It’s just Air yet again punishing the host for a guest’s bad behaviour…
I can’t anticipate every single thing a guest might do, so no, there is nothing to learn from this except keep in mind that some guests try to take advantage.
