@Heather_Joy I have to say I think some other posters have been a bit harsh and judgmental with you here.
What you are dealing with is Airbnb’s often senseless handling of things. Yes, it is considered a no-no for a guest’s privacy to be violated. But you knew that, the overzealous home-owner didn’t, nor did they clear it with you, the guest had no intention to destroy your accounts, and made that known to Airbnb.
So if you were dealing with a platform that had good and sensible customer support, this wouldn’t have happened. But it’s Airbnb, whose responses to issues often are senseless, don’t take all the factors into account, and aren’t generally host-friendly.
