I put in a 32" in the guest room and it’s too small, IMHO. When Hurricane Ian passes and I open up again (Tampa area home share host), I’ll get a 42" and use the 32" as a new monitor for my laptop.

I researched this for my BNB. Forget the size guides. They are way out of date. I had a 32 inch, then realized it was too small, and swapped it for a 48 inch (I think).
The extra trick for all-mounted tvs that not only saves you floor space and cleaning of another piece of furniture is to turn the TV on to a Youtube channel with beach/mountain/travel scenes. They last for up to 10 hours or so. When guests walk in they are greeted with lovely scenery. Very relaxing.
