This seems like a simple question, but doing a search didn’t turn up anything relevant.
I realise, like many other things, the Airbnb review system of Airbnb is not an uncontroversial feature, but I generally think it is a positive thing. What other booking sites have the ability to leave reviews?
Many has hosts review but few has like airbnb the guests review.
Homeaway has implemented guest reviews for owners who use their online booking system. But it is limited for now. Hosts can only star rate a guest and I think recommend them…something like that. But they can’t type out a review. I don’t use their online system so someone else here may know better how it works.
The more owners who leave postive star ratings for HA guests, the more this will help the company to move to instant booking. They copy cat everything Air does, so the more reviews HA can collect, the quicker they will close off open communication (remove guest phone number and email contact) and say “you can trust the reviews from other owners.”
Sigh…
I use online booking on HA/VRBO. You cannot leave any text in your review of the guest - just stars on several categories. So you can’t explain what happened if there is an issue (Break house rules? Was it sneak in an extra guest or forget to take the trash out one time?)
It’s fairly useless. If I can’t review someone with 5 stars across the board, I have decided to not review them at all. I think HA is trying to be AirBnB, and will get there with or without guest reviews.
I don’t think FlipKey or Tripadvisor lets you review guests. But Wimdu does. Again, these other sites don’t seem to make reviews such a crazy life or death deal, like Air does.

So, the only other site that allows hosts to review guests is Wimdu? In other words, allowing hosts to leave guest reviews is unusual? That’s surprising. And unfortunate.
I think Misterbnb does but they are just a copy cat of Air anyway. Yes, I would say that it is not common.
Homeaway and VRBO allow it, but without text. The owners have been pushing to either get rid of the reviews or allow some text - it’s really useless without any text.
A review without text isn’t really a review. I assume you are talking about a star-only rating. One would be better off using smoke signals.
