Hi I am a new host with Airbnb. I’m renting out an entire house in Santa Clara, California. My Farmers Insurance doesn’t cover short term rental such as Airbnb. In fact, none of the insurance companies I spoke with covered short term rentals.
What insurance company do you suggest to use for short term rentals?
Airbnb has its own insurance 1 million dollar policy, that you would be covered by.
We use CBIZ. It’s specifically designed for short term and vacation rentals, reasonably priced. Google them and you’ll find it. I have had no experience with claims (knock wood) but they’re well underwritten and the exclusions don’t seem too onerous.
