Standard Hydrogen Peroxide is 3% - which will irritate skin. Diluted to 1.5% it is entirely safe to human tissue, even with lengthy exposure. FYI - tooth/gum cleaning gel (prescription grade) is 1.5% and designed to be used for 20 minutes or more.
Whereas 3% will often irritate skin, gums, etc., even with relatively brief exposure.
1.5% will also disinfect - but takes a bit longer to work its full magic. So, use full strength on surfaces - and half that for human contact.
