That’s interesting as I always find Air the most expensive site to use as a guest. If I find somewhere I want to stay I usually do a search to see if I can find it cheaper, and every time if it’s on BDC it will be cheaper.

Not in our region. Properties on BDC tend to be more expensive, and for good reason.

BDC take a minimum of 15% commission and while some properties do levy a cleaning/admin fee, the vast majority don’t. I don’t think BDC customers like little add ons like that.

Both our properties are on BDC as well as Airbnb and our prices on BDC are roughly 25% higher. Now we’re in the dead season for tourists here, our main source of bookings is domestic travellers and almost all via BDC.

I used to have my house on booking g.com also and had nothing g but trouble . You are right, guests were difficult

Agree with this. I removed mine from booking. Most of the months they delayed for weeks to pay as well which is sad for such a big company. Never got a booking for weekdays on there as lots of serviced small apartments had a very low price on there which makes you wonder how they had any profit considering the 15%. Good for weekends though as everything books up and you can list for more.

I once had someone booked and then a whole group of teens showed up. I asked for ID which credit card was under and not one person there matched the reservation . When I called the guy he said it’s his son he booked for. Then I asked for his ID, and he said he will send me later. I chased them away .
Same night he was trying to book with my friend with different credit card . I warned her and she chases him away too.
There is a lot of fraud is going on when people book online with these sites.
