This can’t be that hard! I want to send a guest a special offer but I don’t see the “Send special offer” tab anywhere on the message thread, PC or app version.
It’s on the page with the string of emails between you and the guest. On the left below “Potential Earnings” there is a rectangle with the words, “Send special offer”.
You get the special offer tab after the guest has booked. If you don’t have Instant Book on you can change the price for the days the guest wants to book.
You only get the special offer tab when they inquire first. If they request to book it’s not there. Weird, I know. I have to emphasize to people bringing pets to contact me first so I can send the offer. In your case you can accept and then immediately send a change request. He has to accept either way so it’s not a big difference.

Thanks very much for clearing that up. I had a guest today who made an inquiry first. I didn’t realize that was the reason I have the Special Offer Tab.

I have this problem too. I found the article on AirBnb about “How do I give a guest a discounted price or special offer”. So I have told friends that if they make a reservation request (=booking request?), I will offer the listing at a reduced price, and that they just have to make this reservation. Now friends made a reservation, but I can not find the “Send Special offer” tab/button. I only have 17 hours to sort this out to maintain my response rate. Please help!!
My listing has Instant Booking turned on. The article did not say that prevents me from offering a special discount. Does it? My friend fulfils the instant booking requirements. Thank you for some feedback and advice on this.

You followed these instructions? Earlier in this thread it says they have to send a booking request. If you have a confirmed reservation you will have to use the change button where you can change the price.
