I can’t find anything definitive so apologize if this has been answered . I am moving in about a month and there are guests booked past the date I am moving. So do I just cancel all these guests with an explanation? Thanks for any and all help.
Contact Airbnb. They will request proof then you have to message all the upcoming guests and explain that you sold the property, therefore, you have to cancel their reservations. Then cancel each reservation. You won’t be penalized by Airbnb but you first have to contact customer service and submit proof of sale.
I am in the same situation. I canceled a guest and Airbnb charged me $50 even though the booked date is many months in the future. I had one other guest and I asked him to cancel to avoid the fee. He was more than happy to do it.
