I am pretty sure this has been discussed before, so apologies, but I cannot find the thread. So I know how to set different days of the week to check out only, but what I want to do is restrict specific dates only - a full week where I can have the property occupied but I cannot do the check in mid way through. Can someone please tell me how I can do this? I don’t want to block the dates off completely if I don’t have to.
If this is still relevant, I think Airbnb doesn’t let you set “check-out only” for specific dates, only by day of the week.
Some idea, try selecting those dates in the calendar and setting a minimum stay? This usually prevents mid-week check-ins without blocking the dates.
If someone’s found a cleaner method, I’d love to know too
You can do this easily by creating a “rule set” after selecting the days you want to do this with on the multi calendar. For example, if it is Monday through Friday on a particular week select, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday checkboxes in the rule set window, and the particular rule that you want to enforce - no check-in.
Via API
You could do every day “closed to arrival” AND “closed to departure” except Saturdays for example. Then people would only be able to book one week stays arriving Saturday departing Saturday.
Thanks all for your suggestions. I have struggled to find a rule set option, but I am using an app on an ipad so maybe that is a desktop or website function that doesn’t appear everywhere. So I can’t say if that option works, but I tried highlighting just the dates I needed to prevent check in on and altering the custom length and that works - even without having bookings either side to block it in. I just needed to put a ridiculously long minimum stay (21 nights) to be sure no one would actually try to book it! I guess I might be caught out on that but hopefully it isn’t really likely. And yes when I tested it, all the dates are still ‘open’ on the calendar and check out is possible on any of the dates so long as check in is before my cut off.
Thanks very much for the help.
