We’ve had now two VRBO instant-book reservations where the guest insisted that they had booked for ‘x’ guests but the reservation showed a booking for fewer guests.
In each situation the accompanying message said something that tipped me off that the number of guests of the booking confirmation did not reflect the intentions of the guest. We always send a confirmation where we confirm the parameters of the booking as well as a summary of the salient house rules.
In each situation the guest insisted that they had booked for the correct number of guests.
Whether this is a scam or a glitch in the VRBO system, I do not know but wanted to point it out to VRBO Hosts.
