I have been a host for 8 years with over 1,000 reviews. One of my listings is 1 room in my home. Saturday, I had a young couple from Taiwan (husband and wife) check in at 8PM. They’re sweet, smily and have 15 raving reviews. At that point, I thought I was going to have a relaxing evening…I was so wrong!
I knew something was up when he asked me twice if I was staying home tonight. (they usually get private rooms so they knew what they booked). I said yes, and getting the hint, I showed him that we share a thin wall… I leave them and say : “holler if you need me, I’LL BE NEXT DOOR”, (for good measure).
15 minutes later, they get it on. Now I am ok with people having sex in my home, as long as they are discreet! Instead, not only are they acting like I’m not there and screaming, moaning and groaning, there is also a constant “beep” marking the rythm?! Sounds like a video game or a flow of texts coming in.
I have my earphones on and I can still hear them! After 1 hour of this crap, I banged on the wall and told them to knock it off or leave on the spot. They left. I am not sorry.
I found out today, the “beeps” I heard are “tokens” given to them on Chaturbate. It is a site where you can live stream your sexual prowess and get paid for it. They were streaming porn with me right next door.
How is that for a chill Saturday night and more importantly, what is wrong with people?!
@unpetitjenesaisquoi - you got about thirty replies to this question since yesterday when you posted it on Reddit. I don’t know what people here can say that hasn’t already been said there. What exactly are you asking for?
I am not asking any question, I am venting.
What I did not know when I posted on Reddit 2 days ago is that they were indeed streaming porn from my home. Having loud sex is one thing, streaming it from my home is another. All that knowing I am next door…
I am just curious to know what other hosts think about it?
People are weird and a lot of them have odd sexual interests. I’m guessing if they are streaming on a site for people to watch, part of the appeal was that it was a shared home and you were going to be home. A little extra exhibitionist.
I too would have preferred that they leave and I’d be leaving an honest review.
Another good review from Ken. Though I would suggest clarifying that they were filming livestream porn. The headline of this post made me think this thread would be a complaint about the guest watching porn via a streaming site like Porn Hub, which is much less offensive than making porn in a guest’s home.
