@Alia_Gee I have a very thick featherbed topper on my mattress. Normally everyone ooohs and ahhhs over this. However, a guest told me in private feedback that on the third night of their stay they felt the mattress sagged a bit in the middle. In fairness to this guest, I did not have the featherbed separated from the mattress with another fitted sheet, so he didn’t realize it was a featherbed, I guess. Anyway, he told me that I should know my mattress is lumpy. He gave me my only 4 overall, and I think of him every time I see my rating. This was SIX MONTHS AGO, and I am still scarred. So scarred, in fact, that I have three sheets on the bed (nuts), point the removable featherbed out to every guest, and (did I mention?) make myself nuts. I contemplate removing it on a weekly basis, but then I get one of those “heavenly bed” comments, and I start the madness all over again, lol!
Ah that sucks. Generally what happens to me is a spate of great reviews (all five star) and it looks like I’m going to be a five star listing again and I get an idiot who leaves 1 stars across the board. Though this year alone I’ve had two three star and one one star review.
I can’t even imagine what a genuinely one star experience looks like but it’s definitely not my flat.
Oh, that would be terrible! “Special guests” seem to come in waves, don’t they? Doesn’t everyone say bad news comes in threes? If so, you are IN THE CLEAR, BABY!!! Seriously, I’m sure everything will be just fine!
I really thought I could be a contender… as it is, I blocked two weeks off the calendar to lick my wounds (and make hosting some friends easier) and maybe paint the staircase. 
Silver lining: while I was lying on the bedroom floor (trying to see things from a different perspective - guest gave me 3 stars for “dust” so I thought maybe they went spelunking under the bed) i discovered that some previous guest(s) broke the box spring. Shards of wood were sticking out and gaff stabbed the crib mattress I store under there…
Glad I discovered it now, when i have time to replace it in between (bouncing) guests.
