Has anyone else noticed that the general search for homes in the app does not work for certain devices like apple devices? I am curious if this is happening on other mobile devices too. Please let me know.
So go to the app on a mobile device, type in your city and select homes (do not put in any other parameters, just a general search with no dates and no filters) From what I can tell, all areas in the country are effected by this in the US only showing a small number of results for this search. For example, Miami shows 8 listings, but there are over 300. Our area has over 260 but the search only shows the first 10. I tried many different searches and it is the same results. I have reported this to the company numerous times over the last few weeks and each person I report it to at Airbnb says they are seeing the same bug, but can’t get a straight answer about it or when it will be fixed. It is a major bug that I imagine a lot of hosts are losing business over this, it’s good for the few listings that do show up, but to a guest it looks like there are only a few listings available in each city for a general search. Anyone else seeing this? Try to find your listing on the general search inside the app on a mobile device and see. If you do see this, call and report it, maybe if they hear from enough hosts they will fix it.
Ugh - will try to look into this tomorrow per your suggestion…that would explain as to why my Rez requests have taken a nose dive in the last 2 months.

I havent’ noticed anything about the search on my iPad but I haven’t searched yet…I will.
I have noticed the app doesn’t offer some of the host functionality on my ipad that I used to have: calendar maintenance & listing details editing are both limited. so much so that I rarely use it. I’m using the full website.
No Problems here. Had a look on a variety of gadgets; google chrome, apple i-pad and phone and a Huewei something or other. Yet another bloody thing to learn to navigate, but all well.
I have a problem each day my listing unpublishes itself, it was been referred everywhere and at the moment, a manager is bringing to HQ in San Francisco she is there at the moment as several tech teams have looked at it and dont know why it is happening. Very strange
For those of you who have tested this, can you say which mobile device you are using in the app? I know it is not working on apple devices as we have tested many different apple devices and it only returns very few listings.
Reminder, to do a general search with no filters in your area. If you know there are 300 properties in your area, only 5 to 30 may show up, you have to keep scrolling down to see, and then the scroll just stops, this is the bug. If you add in dates it works fine, it is only if you are just doing a general search.
I’m on a Samsung Galaxy s7. No bug. I scrolled and scrolled and finally stopped from boredom. I didn’t count but it was far more than 30 listings.
Why would a guest do a general search with no parameters? Surely they would have a date or a price max or number or people wouldn’t they. The number of guests searching with no filters who are, as a consequence, not booking your place must be vanishingly small.
I just tried to click on rentals in my small town to see “this listing no longer exists” Went to other cities to have the same thing pop up on other rentals. Called Airbnb, the rep with a very bad connection acted like this was the first they’ve heard of it, then I got disconnected. I even clicked on my own rental to see “this listing no longer exists” so couldn’t go into it to make any edits. This is our busy time of year and can’t believe this is happening.[quote=“Maray, post:1, topic:20028, full:true”]

I just searched my area and got a ton of listings (and happy to see mine near the top!)
If you haven’t already done so, check that you have the latest OS and updated version of the Airbnb app - sometimes things can act funny if you have an older version.
I am a victim of it, too. One listing was fine this morning and then two hours later - after having updated the calendar and the photos - it shows as delisted, but ONLY if I am logged out. If you are logged in all appears normal. You should use Chrome Incognito mode or another browser.
Yes, in U.S. I’ve been a host for over 2 years and never seen this. Mysteriously, within last 2 minutes, I clicked on many listings in our town and it does NOT now say “listing not available”. I had looked at some in San Fran and Vermont and it had the same message of “listing not available”.
K9 - I am checking it on apple devices, iphone and ipads. Actually guests do search with no parameters sometimes, I actually do this a lot when I am traveling, because I want to see every listing as my dates can sometimes be flexible, I want to stay in the place that is the best fit for me so if I need to adjust my dates, I can. I actually had people contact me from social media that said they couldn’t find my listing on airbnb anymore, this is how I found out about this bug. To my knowledge it has been going on for about three weeks. I don’t know if it is worldwide, but I do know it is widespread in the US. Sometimes it shows up to 30 listings, but there are over 300, so most are not being shown. (See miami as an example) Thanks for those who tested it. I quick way to test it is look at Miami and see if there are more then 8 to 10 listings. There should be over 300. I live north of San Francisco and my area only shows ten, should be 260 ish. I am on the latest updates of everything. Again, this only happens in the app on a mobile device, not on a computer, and only with no parameters/ filters on.
I am not seeing the “this listing no longer exists thing” but I can tell you the app has been VERY buggy this month, sometimes emails not coming through for an hour after a guest sends it this past week.
I did this and after I got through 67 listings I got a message that said No results and it told me to try removing my filters. As I scrolled through it seemed all the hosts had lots of reviews (the least I saw was 50) and most were Superhosts.
I wonder if it’s a bug or a test. One of the things they want is for people to be able to find a place and book it quickly. So they may be experimenting with ways to narrow the lists. I think you’re willingness and preference to scroll through 100s of listings is the exception not the rule.
This is still happening to me and in is infuriating. If I am logged in my listing URL works; if I am not, it doesn’t. I have called and tweeted. Some people in other Facebook groups are reporting it is fixed if you clear your cookies, but no joy for me.
And just be to clear, this is more fundamental than Search. Listings affected come up as Listing No Longer Available if you’re not logged in.
