Maintaining response rate?

To meet the 24-hour deadline, do I have to make a final decision or is a preliminary response sufficient? For example, someone has inquired but I have another person the following night. As such, I would have to schedule a cleaning crew as I will be out of town. I may not know about the cleaners for a few days.

You must accept or decline reservation requests within 24 hours but a message is enough for a booking inquiry.
