Does anyone know how long “Listing Issues” stay under your “Insights” tab? I have one from September, “Unexpected Noise,” and I’d like to know when the host interface will stop shaming me.
I didn’t even know “Listing Issues” was there – had to go look for it. I found it but can’t answer your question since it doesn’t show any for us (at least not now).
Probably stays there forever, just like all the missed “Opportunities” I haven’t taken advantage of and never will.
I didn’t either. But if they are only Airbnb’s translation of ‘issues’ then I don’t really care.
I had something like “Pillows Not Provided” on mine for, I think, a year? The question to the guest had been “Did the host provide one pillow per person?” and she thought she was doing the right thing by answering “no” because I had provided two pillows per person.
It did eventually go away, but I didn’t pay close attention to how long it stayed. I found it funny and annoying at the same time, so I understand why you would like to know how long you can expect to have Unexpected Noise hanging about…
Thank you! I understand the guest confusion on that question. When I stayed in an AirBnB a few years ago, there was a review question something along the lines of “did this stay meet your minimum expectations?” but it was worded in a way where I wasn’t sure if I was meant to ask yes or no.
That one has to win the prize for the most “I have no idea how to word anything coherently” on Airbnb.
It’s right up there with the prep time wording- “Block one night before and after each reservation”, which of course makes it sound like it would block two nights. Because they don’t explain anywhere that the “night after” Booking A doubles as the “night before” Booking B. Why wouldn’t they just say “Block one night between reservations”, which is exactly what it does?
You’d think they would at least make sure whoever they task with writing these things passed English Composition. They must farm this stuff out to India or the Phillipines, just like their CS.
I have one from April where I didn’t realize my sound was off on my phone & a guest had to wait half an hr before I got back w/her to tell her to try the correct door per clear instructions I’d sent. Hopefully it drops off this April.
Haha, this is even more dangerous since they can block a random night between two reservations if they are more than one
