So I listed my place on airbnb 3 weeks ago and booked up all summer… Now the bookings stopped so I decided to try my luck on booking.com…
I found it quite confusing setting up my listing and even more I havent figured out how to get paid… Is there a way to get paid via paypal like airbnb? Also how do you ask the guests for the credit card details? is there a secure way of sending them to me? and finally… how to you check if they cards are authentic or not? I have a guest from russia for 11 days and I would like to be 100% these are not a hoax.

Did you check we have an other post with a lot of discussion on booking.com
In some countries booking.com can take care of the payment as air bnb does, you can call boooking.com and ask them if they offer the option for your country. The credit card details are in the booking page, client card details. You need to ask booking.com to activate the CVC option if you want to see the CVC. I am checking the card details and I do a pre autorization on clients card with stripe.
It might be a good idea to use a channel manager such as Hostaway. That way you keep manage all rates, reservations and payments from one place on all the sales channels you use.
