No. No louder than a standard whole house compressor. Outdoor compressors are almost unheard of here, though becoming more common slowly as buildings are gutted and rebuilt, the sound that they make sticks out and to be honest, is really annoying. 20 feet between buildings would be considered ample around here. Most of our homes are far closer together than that.
In a place like Texas where homes without a compressor are the rare one, I canât imagine that a split would bother anyone at all.
