Is this a Great deal on down alternative comforter on WOOT? Need advice

EDIT: Not sure if this is a good deal or not, I don’t know how to shop for these (it shows you the so-called) List Price after choosing size/color.) Anyone?

Hotel Collection Premium Lightweight Luxury Goose Down Alternative Comforter
https://home.woot.com/offers/hotel-collection-down-alternative-comforter-4

$26 for queen, marked down from $80. Before I pull the trigger, I want to know thoughts on the microfiber casing? I generally avoid microfiber (I prefer cotton) but I suppose most comforter casings are not cotton these days? I have down currently, but getting sick of the feathers/feather dust. Any thoughts/advice on these types of comforters and quality concerns (if any) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I think that’s an okay price for a duvet insert. I do hope you are using it as an insert with a duvet cover.

Here is the same comforter on Amazon at a higher price AND over 1300 reviews. You may wish to check out the reviews

I’m a WOOT fan

Appears to be a comforter not an insert. Are you in a warmer weather climate? Says light-weight so probably not good for cold winters. I like you prefer cotton, but microfiber is common.

Most definitely. 20202020

I would be putting in a cotton, heavier weight duvet cover. It comes in white, so I don’t think it matters whether it’s a comforter or an insert. Sorry, but I don’t think I know the distinction here (oh no here we go with the duvet thing again!)
I’m in a cold climate in the winter, so the weight is a concern. It says “all season”, but…I have my doubts.

Thanks for posting! Woot Woot! The woot page does give you the amazon reviews, maybe you need to log in with your amazon account first, not sure. BUT. I could not find this item on Amazon site, so much obliged!

I’m sorry. Did the link I posted not take you to the Amazon site? it is the same product, different seller.

Yes it did! Sorry, what I meant to say is that I personally couldn’t find that product when I was searching Amazon, so thanks for sending. Still on the fence but I am WOOTing the percale sheets they have for cheap. I’ve purchased a set of white cotton percale there before and they rock (If you like percale and wrinkles that come with it. I’m not a Sateen fan…)

You should be able to get to the Amazon reviews straight from the Woot page because Amazon now owns Woot. I’m a huge Woot fan. Some of their stuff is crap, but every so often, you’ll get a great deal. I recently got some queen cotton sheets with a high thread count for like $20.

For some products you are correct. Unfortunately not for all. In general a member must post the link to the Amazon reviews. Members can also post links to reviews on other sites like Best Buy or Walmart.

Yes, you can, but you can’t find the actual item on Amazon, to see what they are (actually) charging for it (at least I could not in this instance!) Thanks again @Annet3176 ! Yes, I’ve lucked out on Woot as well. I always like to compare “list price” and better item description from Amazon listing when possible. I purchased some really nice cotton guest robes a couple of months ago at less than 1/3 of the price they were listed on at Amazon. I went to post the link here but they were already sold out! Went quick.
