I’ve been in business since the beginning of October and already it’s been quite the adventure. I love being a host, though. I love the service we provide. I love the little chime that sounds when I get a new booking. I love how people enjoy the use of my space and when they appreciate the time I put into this vision. But I need a break.
I was considering Evolve…but their ratings…
As a business this shouldn’t have to close just because I’m away, so I don’t want to block the days and miss the potential earnings.
Thanks for the reply. I need the basics, supervise turn over (should I optimistically get a booking), handle emergencies. We’re on smart lock I think I’m pretty automated and I should be able to handle new bookings incoming issues. Would love to chat.
I would ensure that wherever you are, be prepared to talk on the phone - some times, at length. It helps to book people you know and are comfortable with.
Whoever you end up going with @CelhestiaNC make sure you have a clear agreement in place as to what support will be offered, charges for emergency call out support, who will handle cleaning, payment terms etc.
Really this should be in the form of a properly constructed contract. Your co-host, if this is something they have experience of, should have a template they can share with you for discussion.
I just recently moved to Charlotte and I currently co-host/manage 3 properties in Chicago. I am looking to expand my expertise in the Charlotte area. I handle everything from guest communication to scheduling cleaning and maintenance as necessary.
