I wanted to be sure that there are no check ins on Friday November 29th. I didn’t want to ‘block’ that day since there are no bookings yet and hope that there are - it’s possible, for example that someone would book from Nov 27 to 30th, for example.
The hive mind solved it - scroll down to the end for the solution…
If you are using the mobile app, you should first go to your calendar, then touch the gear (settings) on the upper-right corner. The window you will see is having two tabs on top: Pricing and Availability. You should tap on Availability then scroll to the end of window “More availability settings”. Here you can restrict days of the week, that can help if you add the restriction a week before the holiday… After the holidays you should delete the restriction. I’m not sure yet if adding restrictions for a specific date on calendar is possible… Further investigation is needed…
Update: the option to restrict a specific calendar date doesn’t exist I sincerely recommend you to send feedback about this useful idea and to ask the support team to apply the restrictions you need on your behalf. Good luck
I have never had occasion to do this, but I think you may be able to restrict a specific date from being a check-in date by using “Professional Tools” and the rule sets feature.
Are you talking about the section “More availability settings”? So there you select basically “Friday” which will block all Fridays for check-ins until you remove that restriction again?
I guess I figured it out. Now I wonder how I would have to temporarily disable bookings from other platforms where I cannot set up a rule like that and avoid bookings from those for a specified period. But if I block a specific date it would be synced with Airbnb making it also unavailable
