How to make my listing name attractive and different

@Ana2 - As the title?! Uh-uh, nooo, ix-nay…no bueno…yuck! … :nauseated_face: :-1:

Many of your guests refer to it as “Ana’s place” which has a warm and friendly sound to it. Definitely keep your name in there and that it’s a lower level if you want (although an in-law suite also connotes that it is a separate downstairs accommodation.

Like it! Sounds personal and welcoming

Whatever you decide check first with an online translation tool. Remember that we are trying to appeal to a global audience and the above might translate to ‘undress in a tiny cellar’ or something!

:slight_smile:

Bed&Breakfast means a bed is provided as well as a breakfast, of some sort. The Queen apparently has Kedgeree for breakfast every day. Do you have ready that in case she checks in? “One saw the sign advertising breakfast and one just assumed that included Kedgeree. One will be asking for a partial refund”.

I see from your listing that you are close to Niagara Falls so that is probably the reason most people visit yes? Are there lots of places with punning titles on that? “Visit the Falls then fall into bed”. “Comfy Queen bed of the Mist”. I can’t really think of anything which rhymes with Niagara except maybe Viagra. But I would be including Niagara Falls in your “title”. It looks great bu the way though I would hate to be trying to keep those walls clean.

You would. :smile: :smile: :smile:

Nevertheless, ‘Your Niagara Viagra’ has a definite ring to it!

Actually, smartypants, I do often have Kedgeree around the house although it is not on my current menu for our listing! I often make it as a lite lunch dish.

Our guests must choose from a dozen or so choices, and tell us what they want at least a few days in advance, so there are no surprises.

Its not like it takes a huge amount of time to make, kedgeree after all! Fifteen minutes to hardboil a couple eggs and poach the fish; the rest is just combining ingredients from my pantry.

There is a B&B called “Fat Duck Inn.” I’ve always loved the name.

Kedgeree for lunch? Whatever next!

One does occasionally partake of it for supper!

@Ana2 Your place looks nice and, as they say on Airbnb “sparkling clean!” - you could eat off those floor tiles!

I don’t think it’s particularly important to have a “cute” title for your listing - Ana’s Place sounds good. And I have to admit that I got a long way down this thread before I realised what “2 BR In-Law” meant. If you get foreign guests, even English-speaking ones they may not understand either …

I think they are what we call “Granny Flat’s” in Australia. But you have to provide your own Grandma.
