I wouldn’t know that. In all the jobs I worked at, we did own the servers and wrote our websites and apps ourselves. This is what the IT dept is for.

Yes and No. I spent 28 years in the IT department of a NYC Big Law firm. The focus on what IT departments do in-house and where they store it has shifted. Cloud solutions offer faster, cheaper storage with more redundancy and in-house web designers are becoming a thing of the past.

When someone asks for discount, I feel insulted, like they don’t value my time, my work, they think I should be paid less.

I agree. My home is 1900sqft, sleeps six, beautiful view with kitchen, gated community, everything provided. I’m priced at $185ish (depending on day booked) and people that ask for discount (or mark down on value) make me want to scream. Loudly. Like a toddler in a toy store. Lol

The Best Western is $125 off-season!

I say no discounts, we are already an excellent value but what I want to say is “Good luck and good riddance, ya jerk!”
