How I created a simple cleaning schedule

I have 14 apartments and two cleaners, Kimberly and Antoniela. Each cleaner is assigned specific apartments on a long-term basis. Both of them have a couple of helpers. Neither of them are very good with computers. Really all they want to know is: (1) where do I need to clean today, and (2) what does the volume look like in the next couple of days?

So I created a simple web page in with Python using ical to pull together the ~20 calendars from Airbnb and VRBO. The end result is this:

Kimberly’s Calendar
Antoniela’s Calendar

No usernames, no passwords, just a single link for each that answers their two basic questions.

If you’d like me to configure a cleaning calendar for your units & cleaners, let me know. I’ll need a list of the cleaners, apartments, and ical links.

That’s a lot of air bnbs! Where are they located?

They are located in Fort Lauderdale.

I just use Turnoverbnb. Does basically the same thing.

I tried Turnoverbnb. I found it to be very complicated. It sends an email invite for every cleaning. The cleaner has to accept or reject each cleaning. That’s not the deal I have with my cleaners. They are committed to handling every cleaning, every day. Occasionally that’s zero. Occasionally that’s six.

@Matthew_Haines thanks for explaining, I see the difference now and why turnoverbnb wouldn’t work for you. I only have one unit, so it works fantastic for me. I’m glad you found a way to get them the schedule.

I’m looking for beta testers if anyone wants to try out the calendar for free.
