I have a 1:1 on bed/replacement linen ratio. Buy them on special and there’s always a clean set. Same with towels.
Like everyone else on this thread (it seems) I have multiple sheet sets for each bed and 2 sets of quilt/shams for each bed. All is washed between guests.
I can’t seem to maintain enough towels so they are washed in the unit and dried during condo cleaning
I wash & dry what I can while cleaning. Whatever is left, I tote home and finish there. I’m lucky to have a really nice new landomat fairly close if I get into a time crunch
(Of note—this for the condo close to my home; not the one that features “self service” exit cleaning at the beach.)
I also have multiple sets of sheet and towels per beds - after check out of my guests, I drop all linen and towels to the nearby dry cleaner and pick up the clean ones that are ready for the new guests. It obviously comes with a cost, that is partially absorbed by the cleaning fee, but it saves me a huge amount of time and it’s super convenient, and they will advise me if there are any damage (holes or stains) in the linen, which allows me to replace it before my guests arrive, they iron the sheet etc. This allows me to ensure a perfect sheet/towel set to my guests.
Three houses. Anywhere from 3 to 15 beds, plus potentially 3 cribs/toddler beds. Have two sets of sheets for each bed, am working on acquiring 3 sets per bed. Luckily I’ve never had to do more than 2 turnovers in one day. Have enough towels for a quick turnover too, in case I can’t get them done fast enough.
First thing when we arrive we strip the beds and gather up all the dirty linen and start the laundry. All the houses have a washer and dryer. I make beds and put out clean towels and clean the house while the laundry is washing. If I don’t get the laundry finished, I take it home and finish it.
I only used a laundry service once and that was because I was down with the flu. It was prohibitively expensive.
Sounds crazy to have an airbn with going to use a laundry service as we do not have a dryer and we have multiple sets of linens and towels. Have no idea what it will cost me by the pound.
We pay between $6-$10 per set to send the sheets out. Not cheap, but without it I think my husband would have thrown in the towel (no pun intended).
Thanks for that info, Arlene! Yes dh has been had to be brought around here too.
This is amazing! I wish they offered this in our area. We have a septic system and I worry about doing too much laundry.
I wish I hadn’t written that.
It’s been tipping it down since the weekend, so much so our gutters are struggling to get rid of the water and we’ve now got a leak in the roof above our bedroom.
The sheets, pillowcases and towels are starting to pile up ![]()

Oh, no. It’s the Airhost forum jinx!
Are you on the plain? I hear that’s where the rain in Spain mainly falls. ![]()
So now it’s not only the rain coming in the roof, we have the deluge from my tears of laughter…
