We have an inground pool and a stand alone two person hot tub. We have a pool service that is good at servicing the pool but not so good at keeping the hot tub clean and in working order. Our property manager is also good at fixing everything, but draws the line at draining and refilling the hot tub. It is a pain. For that reason alone I’m thinking of getting rid of the hot tub next summer, after the high season.
Just today we went over to do a walk through after the cleaners had been through and found the hot tub was brown! As the pump brought the water down we could see what looked like cigarette butts that had disintegrated. They had dump enough in there to completely stop up the filter drain. Who does that!
We already had more than enough reasons to put these folks in the do not rent category, this was just icing.
