Hello Fellow Airbnb Hosts!
So I have a strange problem where my listing is gone from all the searches for the last 6 month.
Luckily this is my home where I live so I only rent it out occasionally, also vrbo helps.
I noticed this issues about 6 month ago where the listing would just be completely gone from searches, I used explorer, firefox, chrome, airbnb Listing only shows up when im loged in into my own account. Also had a friend try to find the listing from their pc and app with same outcome. When I call airbnb they just tell me , ohh the search is tailored to specific target audience, or they tell me they do see it, basically I get nowhere with them, even though I know the problem exists and property is nowhere to be found.
I have other listings on this account that show up just fine. Anyone with similar experience?

Alex,
I see it. From map view it was hard to find. But I did hone in the map to the general area that shows on your listing and then looked at the picture thumbnails and it showed up. On the map it seems to be slightly hidden under another red button.
Regards, Curt
I only see it when I click on the direct link.
However when I use search to try and find it it doesn’t seem to come up. Even when I carry out a filtered search for San Diego County which reduces the listings to just 5 or 6 pages I don’t seem to see it, and really it should appear no matter what airbnb claim.
So I would have them look at the issue. 6 months is a very long time to be missing from searches. Why not ask them to carry out a filtered search (without zooming in via map as one contributor did) for 9 guests, 3 bedroom, 5 bed in the whole county and see what comes up!
Is your actual price different from the base price? That could have messed with my filtered search but I doubt it!
You could also try and see if fiddling with the listing would “activate” it. Eg changing some of the details or pictures, or snoozing it and putting it back up, or changing it to entire home and back to private room?
Lovely place by the way. You have projectors in each room? Do you find that projectors run hot in a smaller space? We have a projector so just curious!!!
Hi @alex1,
When I clicked on your listing’s link I get the message “This listing is no longer available”.
Call AirBNB (numbers are on a sticky thread on this forum) and tell them to fix it ASAP. I JUST posted this on another thread:
This happened to us.
We have been hosting since July, and we normally get several inquiries a week and average about a booking a week. About three weeks ago, we stopped getting anything but as we were fully booked until the beginning of November. In the interim, we tinkered with our pricing and turned on Instant Book.
The booking before our last booking (which departed yesterday) left a glowing review but poor star rating. (Turns out she was confused about the star rating.) We thought that this may have effected our search results.
However, last night my husband (who is a techo) searched for us. Nothing. Not on our Mac, Windows laptop, phones, etc. Different browsers, filters, etc. Nothing.
We called AirBNB who confirmed that our listing wasn’t showing up and that they’d escalate it to a technical person. They said they’d email us first thing this morning but nothing arrived. It turned up in searches about 18 hours later. My husband called them to query why they haven’t emailed us and what went wrong. They tried to fob him off but eventually the CSR admitted that she received a lot of these queries where people’s listing just disappeared. She said there was no rhyme or reason.
We had a booking come through tonight from Saturday for a week.
Urgh. Too stressful.
Hmm I just double checked and Nothing
Thanks for checking.
I was on the phone with them for hours and nothing gets resolved. They give me different reasons that it could be and no progress.
On the Projector question, they will run a little warm almost like little heaters. We use one on our Master bedroom and love it, its an Epson 8500b , great picture quality, run it n eco mode for less heat and power use.
On was on the phone for hours between multiple phone calls. They tell me it will be escalated to a technitian but nothing ever gets resolved.
I listed the same property on another airbnb account and it disappeared from searches as well…
Hope this convo is not too old to revive.
This is happening to me. One friend was able to find our listing 3 others not. We cannot find it from 2 laptops and iphones. When I look at my stats page under ciews, there is a completely flat line till May 30. Around there is skyrockets for 2 days, then flat again. In those 2 days I had a couple of inquiries and one booking. Now the line is flat again and no bookings coming in. We were so busy last year and this is a mammoth year with Canada’s 15th and our central Ottawa location. Here is Air’s response:
Hope this email finds you well!
The case was escalated to me via Twitter and after looking deeper into your case, everything is working correctly.
Even if the stats bar doesn’t show much activity, your listing was viewed 204 times over the past 7 days. I also searched for it, as incognito, and your house was the first one to come up on the first page, in Sandy Hill neighborhood.
As you know, Airbnb is a big community and there are times when the bookings are not as frequent. To boost your bookings, your can try to turn on the Instant Booking, for instance, or follow the tips Airbnb gives you.

When I go to her links, I still cannot find my listing, and the map does not show it!
Here is the link I have for a preview from the host portal.
Am I losing my mind?
