I am checking out Insurance Companies and crunching the numbers. I am curious though if anyone here has turned in an Insurance Claim for damage or theft or anything? and if Airbnb paid or not? I think someone told me you have to turn in the Claim within 48 hours after the Guests Leave.
Since it isn’t insurance but a guarantee which is limited in all sorts of ways. Have you read the small print?

The consensus on Airbnb coverage is insufficient, hard to collect, nightmare evidence collecting, etc
Don’t even think about hosting without proper STR insurance. Some people think they can get away with it - and they can for a certain time but something will happen sooner or later.
