Just got messaged from airbnb today, anyone know what’s this about?

To improve your chances of being featured, we’d like to offer you a complimentary professional photo shoot within the next two weeks from today, which you can schedule based on your availability. You can also help us determine if your listing is a good fit by sharing some additional information related to the design of your home.
I asked what kind of project and is this something like airbnb plus project… for that I wouldn’t be interested as I had the plus and opted out after a year… I am still waiting for a reply
I didn’t get that specific message, but I have gotten similar “private” messages from Air. As long as the message headers are legit, I would assume the message is legit. Any reticence on thier part to specify details is just Air dweebs being Air dweebs.
@balivilla Yes, I just got this message from airbnb support today! Did you find out what it means? Very handy to have a free photoshoot, but still don’t know what it’s about. My listing is in Melbourne, Australia, where is yours?
This is part of a new project our team is working on to highlight uniquely designed homes on the platform. This is separate from Luxe/Plus and will not affect your hosting experience as part of that program. The focus of this effort is to curate a category of homes with unique designs. If we select your place, it could have prioritized placement and increased visibility.
The misplaced comma is because I’m guessing that balivilla removed their property name from the message before posting it on here. I got the same message, and it read “We believe your home, [Name of Airbnb listing], has very interesting design features”… It also went on to offer a free photoshoot, which was legit and did go ahead.

We just got this offer too, and are considering uptake of it; bookings are slow. I think we have slipped to the 4th page. Photos only for airbnbn use as per agrreement.
Airbnb is looking to expand their marketing through real examples of homes that are on their platform. They will choose high performers typically as the representatives and realize you need something in return, so they push your listing more.
“Could have”, “might”, “when feasible”, are phrases that can be found throughout Airbnb policies and communications. They love making policies that are left open to interpretation.
Well, we are having an airbnbn photographer come Tuesday the 25 and another shoot with someone very famous this Wednesday… so I am hustling to get it all ready!!!
The photographer uploads the air exclusive images and you can add captions, change placement or delete. It deffo better than my photography and also free, so I’m not complaining.
