Guest put cups on the window sill and left stains and in one area caused paint to come off - what to do?

I put the 7" round cork pads for putting hot pans on all around, and I wrote COASTER on one and I will still find watermarks right next to the damn things from time to time.

I keep a small glass jar of paint and a brush under the sink, with white vinyl emulsion in it. Fixed these things quickly. Far simpler than chasing ppl for damages.

Shortly after reading this thread, I visited a house that has slabs of granite, instead of wood planks, for every windowsill in the house.

Personally, I dislike granite countertops, but nobody is going to wreck those windowsills with a beverage!

I’m going to see if I can locate that kind of paint. That sounds like a good process. Everything is white so hopefully it shouldn’t be too hard
