Wow, amazing, who would have guessed. A thought, I have a great property in Sequim, WA (across Puget Sound in Olympic Peninsula), and it was my impression that getting permits to build was incredibly hard to get, perhaps coupled with such a migration of high-salary workers has led to such a demand-pull of rent prices.
thatās exactly right. Amazonās 75,000 transplants led to the dozens of new skyscraper apartments downtown. Lots of start-up silicon valley tech companies moving up here.
We need about 2 more major freeways or God help us all 10 years from now (traffic will be atrocious)
I will be there this Thursday Rory, by coincidence, after 4 years, be interesting to see the changes.
Oh youāll be blown away. Since I graduated UW 6 years ago it is so different⦠in a good way though. They are doing a great job of demo-ing all the old s*** homes and replacing them with nice houses but mostly large apartment complexes. I could go on and on but Iām not you can see yourself haha
Rory, your post is very timely for me. My present contemplation is either to make that property in the Olympic Peninsula, which I love, my summer place (rest of year in Belize), or some other place like Florida the other alternative. I will look at WA now with a lot more enthusiasm.
Iād like to see Belize someday, I will have to try and find you on ABNB and rent your spot out haha
