I am publishing my listing today and I know instant book brings some good advantages. It all feels like such a leap, so I will go one step at a time and hopefully get there!

Up to you as to what works best for you @kathyvermont . I didn’t use IB when I first started as I wanted to control my calendar properly, get to know how Airbnb works (avoiding rookie mistakes) and vet guests to ensure there was a good fit.
New hosts get an artificial boost for the first month or so, so you can afford not to use it while you get used to how Airbnb works.
Some hosts never use it.
Using IB isn’t going one step at a time, it’s leaping in with both feet
