Fraud: Guest Holds Huge Party

So like an organized “rave.”

Hey this is where I live ! My neighbors called the cops twice, once because I was assembling an Ikea shelf and the other because I was using a small Weber gas grill on my rooftop terrace.

I’ve been known to let a few F words fly during IKEA assembly. Perhaps cop-calling volume. I’m still using three IKEA (formerly STOR) furniture items. A California King bed and two matching nightstands. I shipped them to Hawaii when I moved here in 1992 and they were already four or five years old at that time. Maybe IKEA quality isn’t as good now… or maybe these things are really made in China instead of Sweden now…?. but the Assembly Aggravation Factor has always been at high levels.

I wish we had IKEA in Hawaii. The best we have is Kmart. I’ve got lots of nice and inexpensive furniture from `them. It’s all we got here.

Try offerup.com. Since i started doing Air i bought lots of furniture there and lamps. I paid 150$ for a very nice queen bedroom with matress. Now everyone calls my bed “extremely comfortable”. Lamps 10$ and so on.

This has been one of my main worries about hosting but I live one block behind the property and have an 8 max limit. I can and will have the police there shutting down and escorting the guests out of they had a big party.

There is clause in the insurance summary doc that says that it doesn’t cover intentional acts. My fear…a guest having a party would be considered an intentional act so any damage that happened during the party would be tied to that. If this does get put through Airbnb’s insurance, I would be very curious to see what the outcome was.
